The Mystery of Covigne is a Quest in Villagers & Heroes.

There was a man named Covigne, and he buried his treasure here in the Zorian Marshlands.. That is why the bounty hunters want the land (and therefore Lysander) so badly.

Objectives

• Find and speak with Domo in the Zorian Marshlands.
• Search around the Zorian Marshlandsand a Waterlogged Maple.
• Search around the Zorian Marshlandsand a Waterlogged Poplar.
• Search around the Zorian Marshlandsand a Waterlogged Fir.
• Search around the Zorian Marshlandsand a Waterlogged Spruce.
• Search around the Zorian Marshlandsand a Waterlogged Hemlock.
• Return to Tobin.

Walkthrough

• Prescott wants you talk to Domo E2/3. He wants your help before he tells you more about the story of Covigne. I need to find 5 different Waterlogged trees:
  • Waterlogged Maple = E/F7
  • Waterlogged Poplar = C/D6
  • Waterlogged Fir = C3
  • Waterlogged Spruce = C/D2
  • Waterlogged Hemlock = G5

• This ends the quest but keep talking to him to get the follow up quest: The Stains of Covigne.

Dialogue

Domo: "I believe I'll write a book! Perhaps the first chapter will be about the ancient Zingara. Or maybe Mallok's Brood of Seven. Or possibly the Socorro. Ah, yes! That!"

You "The Socorro, eh? As in, the inhabitants of the Crux?"

Domo: "Indeed. They are a grand species. Not at all like other insect races. The Socorro are elegant!"

You "So they're bugs? Whatever. I need to know about Covigne! Can you help me?"

Domo: "Certainly. Covigne was one of Mallok's henchmen, and his insatiable greed was to be his downfall. I should include a chapter about him in my book! But my notebook is getting rather full. I need some more parchment for it."

You "Maybe I can help?"

Domo: "So then, I will tell you more about Covigne? I see. Yes! That seems like a good proposition. Search around the marshlands and find five different types of waterlogged logs. Their fiber works best and I like to have a variety."

You "All right."

Domo: "Wonderful! See you shortly."

Domo:"Have you the logs for my new parchment?"

You "I do. Here. Now then, Covigne?"

Domo: "So as I said, Covigne was one of Mallok's henchmen. Back in the Shadow Years, in the cellar of Mallok's Obsidion Tower, was a great vault filled with immense riches, that had been pillaged from around the lands. Covigne's appetite for wealth outweighed any sense of loyalty to his master, and he stole from Mallok."

Domo: "Covigne filled a boat with as much of Mallok's treasure as he could fit into it, and set sail upon the seas with it all. I think perhaps I should add illustrations to the book I'm writing. What do you think?"

You "I think you should keep telling me about Covigne."

Domo: "Though I'll need some vibrant paint for the illustrations. Some of the larger insects here carry a toxin that, when boiled down, produces the most stunning inks. If you could go collect me some, I'll tell you about Theobald and Slarissa, and what became of Covigne."
