Grindstones is an item in Villagers & Heroes.
Used to sickles and scythe their sharpest, these whetting stones are most often collected from mineral rich mining nodes. However they can also be intermittently found left in a tree or bush by a nesting bird, hoarding rat, or a previous (and careless) gatherer.
Acquisition
- Available for free at Supply Distributor, either Ardent City, Lake Kiwa or your own home village.
- There are different types of grindstones:
- Natural Whetstone = Common Supplies
- Grainy Natural Whetstone = Uncommon/Superior Supplies
- Coarse Natural Whetstone = Rare/Premium Supplies
- Fabricated Grindstones = Uncommon/Superior Supplies
- Augmented Fabricated Grindstones = Rare/Premium Supplies
It is not required to use a supply however, they offer benefits to gathering time, amount gathered, and supply finds.
- Using no supplies
- Results in a 5 second gathering time
- 33% chance to find gathering material
- 100% chance to find 1-2 common gathering supplies for the current skill
- 0% chance to find supplies for another skill
- Using Common Supplies
- Results in a 3 second gathering time
- 100% chance to find gathering material
- 50% chance to find supplies for another skill
- Using Superior Supplies
- Results in a 2 second gathering time
- 100% chance to find gathering material
- 75% chance to find gathering supplies for another skill
- Using Premium Supplies
- Results in a 1 second gathering time
