Bug Lore is a skill in Villagers & Heroes.

With Bug Lore a player can look in all sorts of nooks and crannies to find the creepy crawlies of the Seven Realms. Explore Ant Hills, Rotted Logs, Spider nests, and a variety of other grubby places to find the best of the best bugs. If bugs interest you then you may visit the town of Mounds in the Realm of Ardent, a small community of avid bug lovers and collectors.

Gather Locations

Experts in Bug Lore can gather from a very large variety of locations, or nodes. Click on a gathering node to use your Bug Lore Skill and a Magnifying Glass to harvest the material it contains. If your Bug Lore level is equal to or greater than the level of the node, you will always succeed at harvesting something. If your Bug Lore level is lower, then there is a chance that you will fail to harvest anything. The further below the level of the node you are, the less likely you are to harvest anything.

Insect Mounds

Using an Insect Mound will find bugs up to two levels below and two levels above the level of the Insect Mound, with the exception of the Cronk Island Insect Mounds, which only have bugs of the same level.

Safe places to gather for those who don't like combat:

Ethos Island zones and Ardent Hub (Cronk Island and Ardent City): gatherable nodes for all levels 1-10.
Lake Kiwa: gatherable nodes for all levels 10-29.
Forever Tree: gatherable nodes for all levels 30-39.
The Thriving Isles: gatherable nodes for all levels 40-59.
The Stone Gardens: gatherable nodes for all levels 60-74.

Arachnamassers

Arachnamassers are a rare specimen of spider. Unlike most spiders, Arachamassers build nests rather than webs and then fill their nests with whatever oddities they can find.
