Bearer of Bad Tidings is a Quest in Villagers & Heroes.

The Royal Council have been killed. There was eerie music, a woman named Rose, spectral fog, a man with a hook who wants to kill Nadia, and a mysterious stone table. Who are these depraved villains? What does it all meant? I must now go tell Lady Philippa the terrible news about the Royal Council.

  • Return to Lady Philippa in the Sailor's End hideout.

  • 13 silver
  • 20k XP
  • Rare Priest Boots (different depending on the played class)

  • Go to Lady Philippa in the Sailor's End hideout (B4) and tell her everything you know.
  • This ends the quest but keep talking to her to get the follow up quest: The Faithless Friar.

Lady Philippa: "As always, it is a pleasure to see you again, but what on earth are you doing back here so soon? Didn't Viscount Clement give you a list of tasks as to how you are to aid in the defense of the realm?"

You "[Tell her everything.]"

Lady Philippa: "The Royal Council. Those good people, all murdered. The Black Thrush have struck a great blow into the heart of our realm today. And who is this vile Rose woman? And that other awful creature? I pray that Samuel and Nadia are still safe! We must unravel the mystery of these new villains, and learn their identities. Or perhaps they are old villains?"

Gained 20k experience!

You "What of this stone tablet?"

Lady Philippa: "Interesting... this is an Espaldrian tablet. The Espaldrians were an ancient order of priests, all long dead now. Like most, I know little about them, only that they were notoriously secretive, and all died quite suddenly. Why was this in the council chamber?"

You "I don't know, but maybe it is worth investigating."

Lady Philippa: "I agree. There's an old Friar named Belarius who dwells among the dead in the Halls of Salvation. He might know more. I must return to Ardent Castle now! Start by seeking out Belarius."

You lost 1x Broken Stone Tablet.
